Each dependent reported on your tax return must have SSNs and names matching what is on record in the IRS database and Social Security Administration (SSA).
Fix #1: To update the name or social security number of any dependents reported, you can sign into your RapidTax account and make corrections right on your rejection status page.
Fix #2: If the information you entered seems to be correct to the best of your knowledge then you may need to paperfile your tax return this year. You should contact the Social Security Administration to update what they have on file for your dependent’s information.
