You are considered a resident for income tax purposes if any of the following applies to you:
- You have made Colorado your home with a permanent place of abode.
- You have the intention of making Colorado your permanent residence.
The Colorado Department of Revenue will consider the following as full intention to become a Colorado resident:
- Voter registration
- Vehicle registration
- Driver’s license
- School registration
- Property ownership
- Residence of spouse and children
- etc…
